2nd meeting. Thanks Jenny for the excellent venue.

We had a different mix of people this time, with 5 of the knitters from the first month and 3 new members . We are so grateful to Jenny for opening the cafe, it was just perfect.

Michelle bought a big sack of yarn that 'the man from Sirdar' had given her and a bag of knitting books and some patterns to give away. Janet brought some needles and we are thinking that a freebie/swap and for sale table will be a regular feature. Julia very kindly brought a lovely selection of the best new knitting books for us to look at and decide we needed to buy for ourselves immediately!

The photographer from The Essex Chronicle turned up, which was slightly nervewracking but we all bit the bullet and posed dutifully.

There was a wide range of knitting going on, from socks and lucette cords to men's jumpers, children's cardis, scarves, one skein wonders and leg warmers!

Having been brave with the newspaper photographer nobody was that keen on me running round with a camera, but I did manage to get a few people sort of in shot :) However, as blogger is behaving very badly I will have to post the photos tomorrow.

Next meeting 22nd May (as Bank Holiday is last Monday of the month) same time, same place.
