Apologies and hope the meeting was a good one.

Sorry everyone for not letting you know I wouldn't be there but it was really last minute that I decided the headache I had was bad enough to keep me away from knitting :) It wasn't helped by the fact that we had a bit of stress from a certain little girl who is just a bit worried about starting school tomorrow.

Thanks for the emails and I'll see you soon. As Jenny's computer isn't working I think there probably won't be a report of last night's meeting ...... unless anybody else wants to do it? ;)

ADDING A NICE CLEAR MESSAGE: BRING CROCHET HOOKS TO 25TH SEPTEMBER MEET IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEARN.

Oh no Tina - I've got some apologising to do too! We've had a fraught couple of weeks with me having two extended stays at St Johns (alls well now but I'm to take it easy - Hmm, interesting concept with a 5 yr old!) and a family bereavement. Last night I wanted to settle Libby to bed as today was her first day at school unfortunately her Dad had trouble with the concept of 'low key' and managed to open the flood gates (literally!). Bedtime became a long drawn out process with me using every tool in my motherhood armoury to get her to sleep. Needless to say, she had a great time this morning and it was her Mum who was reduced to tears at the school gate (I've blamed it on the pregnancy hormones).
So, apologies to all for my absence - I was hoping to pick Sally brains re wire knitting and I need some advice on knitting a tubular scarf but that will have to wait til next time - I'll be along on 25th with crochet hooks in hand.
Hope you are all well.
Michelle

Hi Everyone
So sorry to hear about problems with Michelle & Tina. We were worried, particularly about the new baby. I now have a new computer, which needs a bit of rearranging, but thank goodness all my stuff is safe! There were 7 of us there last night, all doing very different things & guess what I had a sewn up.
cardigan [only 7 years in the making!] We suggested having a resource 'pack' of useful websites that we know about, to circulate, so I will start one off with what we collected last night.
Hope all are back from hols etc on 25th. See you all there

I think we should have a picture of 'The Cardigan'!

Michelle, glad to hear you're OK - both my children ran into school without a single look behind - I was also the one in tears.

Tina and Michelle - hope the first days went well.

I'm still wire knitting - think I'll have holes through my fingers, but it's the home straight now. I might even photograph it for the site.
